Palermo Community Association

 

Palermo Community Association

Meetings are open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend. Purpose is to provide an update on the direction for sewage and drainage issues and solutions. The focus of the association is to organize a political voice for the community of Palermo.

When: The second Thursday of each month, 6:00 p.m.

Where: Palermo Union School Distric Board Room, 7390 Bulldog Way, Palermo, CA

The Butte County Board of Supervisors and the Palermo Community Association, with assistance from Lumos & Associates are starting the preparation of a preliminary engineering report to evaluate different alternatives for wastewater treatment and disposal for the Palermo Community. Depending on the findings, this report may be used to apply for funding for wastewater upgrades in the Palermo Community.

Our Projects

Our focus has been to find a solution to ensure safe water in Palermo.  Our projects have included:

  • Safe Water Survey Project - Fall 2012: partnership with students from CSU, Chico (giving students hands-on experience with community projects)
  • Palermo Wastewater Study PER - 2010
  • Palermo Wastewater Study Area - 2009
  • Palermo Wastewater Study - 2007
  • Palermo Post newsletter published in August 2009 (in PDF)
